How to use and precautions

(1) Open the adhesive drum lid and mix it slowly and slowly for 5 to 10 minutes before use. Do not stir it vigorously to prevent the formation of large amounts of air bubbles.

(2) Check whether the surface tension of the printing film is appropriate and ensure that the surface tension of the ink exceeds 38 mN/m.

(3) The oven temperature of the compounding machine is set to 80°C, 85°C, 95°C (the temperature can be switched on after reaching the set temperature), and the air inlet and exhaust of the oven should be set to the maximum. The composite steel roll temperature is set to 85°C to 95°C, and the compound pressure is set to maximum. Note: When considering the film bearing capacity, the temperature setting should try to follow the above recommendations.

(4) An air diaphragm pump must be used between the sizing tank and the adhesive barrel. The pump should be cleaned before use; it must not be mixed with solvents.

(5) In order to prevent jamming, the scraper must be released during shutdown, and the glue roller soaked in the glue to keep turning.

(6) When the composite velocity is too high, air bubbles may be generated. A uniform ink stick may be placed in the glue tank to eliminate air bubbles.

(7) Use a counter-rotating roller as much as possible.

(8) After use, wipe off the glue solution on the applicator roller with water and wash thoroughly with ethyl acetate.

(9) If the composite membrane apparently appears tunneling, there are two points to note: one is that the scraper is not dry; if it is disputed, the scraping phenomenon is caused, the scraper should be cleaned; and second, the jamming roller should be cleaned.

Kommen's water-based adhesives already contain defoamers, and generally do not require additional defoamers. If the foaming phenomenon is serious, defoamers can be used, but the amount should be strictly controlled so as not to affect the appearance of the product. Generally, the addition amount of defoamer per 200kg of glue should not exceed 500g, and it should be stirred evenly.

4. How to determine whether the adhesive is completely dry?

If the composite film is transparent, there is no fog, indicating that the adhesive has dried completely. You can use the transparent structure OPP/OPP to adjust the parameter settings of the device when you start up.

5. Why does the peel strength increase after a certain period of time in the maturation chamber when the product is compounded with water-based adhesives?

The molecular weight of the water-based adhesive is high, and the temperature in the curing room is high, which can increase the infiltration of the adhesive on the surface of the film, so the peel strength of the composite film will increase.

6. Will the composite film peel strength fade after a few months?

This will not happen, and the bond strength of the adhesive will not change.

7. Will water-based adhesives affect the adhesion of the ink to the film?

This is related to the quality of the ink. If the affinity of the ink and film is poor, the adhesive may pull the ink off the film. For example, we often find that white ink will transfer ink after compounding. We recommend using good quality ink.

8. Why does the use of different inks (even if the surface tension of the ink reaches 40mN/m) results in a different composite film appearance?

In addition to pigments (or dyes) and film-forming resins, wax slip agents, defoamers, plasticizers, etc. may have adverse effects on the binder. All of these ingredients in different inks may have no effect on the adhesive.

9. Does increasing the adhesive coating amount increase the peel strength of the composite film?

If this is not the case, the peeling strength will be very low when the coating amount is very low. In this case, increasing the coating amount will have a greater effect on the peeling strength. However, when the coating amount reaches a certain value, the coating amount is increased again, and the effect on the peel strength is not so obvious.

10. Does the coating amount cause the adhesive to overflow during heat sealing?

This does not happen when the coating amount is 12 g/m 2 or less.

11. Can the adhesive be diluted and how can it be diluted?

Please do not dilute the adhesive. If the dilution will change the surface energy of the product, resulting in a poor appearance of the composite product, it will also increase the occurrence of blistering. The possibility of orange peel phenomenon.

12. How to improve the appearance of the composite film?

In foreign countries, the most common method is to use a flattening roll. Of course, the quality of the film affects the appearance of the composite film. At the same time pay attention to the normal quality of the adhesive, and the rollers and other rollers are clean. no damage.

13. Why corona treatment can improve the peel strength of the composite film?

The vast majority of foreign multi-function machines are equipped with an online corona treatment device that can clean the surface of the substrate and increase the surface energy of the substrate, thereby increasing the peel strength of the composite film.
