In recent years, with the rapid rise of non-carbonated beverages such as fruit tea beverages, some sugar-containing non-aerated, unstable beverage products are susceptible to microbial infections. In the hot filling, cold filling (pastry), aseptic filling and other beverage filling processes, due to the aseptic filling process for the sterilization of raw and auxiliary materials and the higher hygiene requirements of the entire production environment, equipment investment As a result, most of China's beverage factories are actively using hot-filling technology to produce non-carbonated beverages such as fruit juices and tea beverages. The hot filling process can effectively suppress or remove bacteria, and the process is simple and the quality is easy to control.
Compared with PET bottles, BOPP bottles can increase the material temperature during hot filling, and can perform two thermal sterilizations before filling and after filling; the gas barrier properties of the bottle wall are better, and the shelf life of beverage products can be greatly extended. ; Can reduce the cost of 15-20%. Since the same material can be used for the bottle body, bottle cap, and label, it is not necessary to classify it for recycling. It is very suitable for the packaging of non-carbonated beverages and other products that require hot filling. It provides a new choice for beverage manufacturers, especially SMEs.
According to the experimental results of the scientific and technical personnel on the shelf-life quality changes of biaxially stretched BOPP bottles, it is shown that the hot filling of BOPP bottles under strict hot-filling conditions can increase the shelf life of the tea drinks for more than six months. It is reported that currently in Taiwan, BOPP bottles have been commercialized in large-scale production, and have achieved good economic benefits.
