Before entering the school, most of the students were painting-oriented mainly to cope with the examination. They mainly trained the basic skills of painting. They were lacking in design. In addition to focusing on basic skills in painting and professional basic knowledge in basic professional courses, it is more important to change students’ previous forms of thinking in basic teaching. Apart from giving students necessary copying and sketching in teaching methods, they must Strengthen the development and training of students' creative thinking design. At the same time, the professional and technical courses taught cannot be isolated and one-sided. Students should be made aware that the basic knowledge they have learned can be applied in professional design in the future and pay attention to the connection between basic courses and professional courses. Otherwise, it is easy to go away from the actual situation. Example: In sketching this course, the author noticed that at present, there are some higher vocational art schools that specialize in decorating. One or two year basic courses mainly focus on drawing and color. In teaching, they follow the teaching mode of the former Soviet Union. The main theme is painting plaster heads, busts, and portraits. The main method of expression is light and shade.

An assignment is sometimes painted for a week. Students spend the whole day tracing the subject. It is both time consuming and ineffective. Rarely does the creative mind flash. For a long time, most of the domestic design universities are using this method of cultivating artists to train designers. Sketch teaching is one of the important basic courses of plastic arts (including design). Due to the different types of plastic arts, the focus of sketch teaching should be different. Because of its own characteristics, the art design course should also be With it. The purpose of the sketch teaching reform is to gradually establish a perfect sketch teaching system on the premise of respecting the characteristics of the art design profession, to shorten the distance from the design class as much as possible, and to gradually form an organic part of the design system in the basic training. In the middle, we gradually added creative thinking components, respected student's personality and made full use of the potential created by each student's personality, so that students had professional awareness and modern awareness from the beginning of learning, and quickly and smoothly moved to the next stage. The study lays a good foundation for quality.

Another example is the font design course. For a long period of time, we have been training and demanding only the various stages of the development of cognitive writing. The teaching requirements and purpose of the course are as follows:

4, master the rhythm of the text and the beauty of writing;
5. Develop and train students' ability to write quickly. Evaluation criteria: accuracy, vividness, rigor and integrity. The space for font design has gone far beyond the category of "calligraphy" and "artistic characters." In graphic design, it continuously conveys textual information, and more of it bears the role of symbolic visualization. Therefore, in addition to allowing students to write, master tools, and draw and write procedures, the writing should be based on the principle of drawing, type of font design, common change methods, typographic awareness, and the style of various fonts. Have some understanding so that students can apply in the professional design in the future. For example, to draw the bold font in the standard font, not only how to teach the students to write correctly, but also to pay attention to the typographic awareness and to integrate the design ideas in the painting and writing. With the bold and square character of the black square body, the introduction of this font is more suitable for the solemn occasions and places that need to be highlighted; for the product packaging design, it is often used in the performance machinery, hardware, etc. to reflect the product's strong and durable In the product packaging design, the self-designed art variant characters are generally used in relatively light and lively occasions; the Western style characters are written in the cosmetic packaging box and used in the product name and brand to express the product's softness and aroma. . In the combination design of the fonts, students should understand that the form is subject to the content, and can not be arbitrary, independent, consider the design of font readability, and content relevance, but also need to consider design fonts are widely used, can be in different media Reproduce and produce, on the basis of allowing students to understand these principles, give full play to creative thinking. Using the rules of formal beauty, design novel, beautiful, and generous fonts. The traditional light and dark sketch expression method is time-consuming and ineffective, and it is not suitable for the characteristics of sketch teaching in designing.

Second, in the packaging and decoration design, students should pay attention to the characteristics of commodity packaging


Many students in the packaging and decoration design, one-sided pursuit of form, regardless of the nature of goods packaging, characteristics, that is, the nature of goods is not clear, in the design, ideas are relatively narrow, rigid, simply put together text and color blocks on the screen, do not understand the goods The purpose of packaging design is to sell the concept. The result is that the designed work is not like a design work for product packaging, but only the graphic design of color, pattern, and text. It lacks merchandise and common phenomena. In color applications, Often relying on personal interests and hobbies, not combining product content with wrong colors, or using all kinds of colors that are inherent to all product packaging and decorating design, but not knowing that different product designs must be able to reflect the product content and promote product sales because of different product attributes. The hue, such as: food packaging color commonly used warm colors, can highlight the freshness of food, tasty and delicious feeling; medicine category, more commonly used gray color is more appropriate, can make patients not too irritable and produce boredom, and can reflect the product can Anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, analgesic effects; children's toys Products, commonly used vibrant solid colors and a variety of warm and cold contrasting color to match the psychological and loving children. In addition, different colors should be used according to the preference of different regions and the hobby of the nation. In the organization of the screen, many students do not pay attention to the writing and arrangement of the merchandise name and brand name, and often highlight the illustration part too much. I do not know that the patterns and illustrations are to better embody the theme, and there is a narrow or missing brand name on the screen composition. The name of the brand and the name of the producer, often found in students’ work, are neglected and ignored by the students.
