College of Materials Science and Engineering of Southwest Jiaotong University successfully developed a ZnO whisker compound antibacterial agent and applied it to plastic packaging materials to develop antibacterial bags with an antibacterial rate of 99% or more.
Due to the unique colorless property of the ZnO whisker antibacterial agent, adding the substrate does not change the color of the substrate, so it can be made into a transparent PC, PE antibacterial material. In addition, due to the multifunctional nature of the ZnO whiskers themselves, plastic packaging materials added with ZnO whisker and antibacterial agents also have high strength and good preservation properties. In addition to plastic packaging, it can also be applied to the surface of paper packaging and metal packaging. The availability of such antibacterial packaging materials has aroused strong market response, and many packaging material manufacturers have expressed their positive desire for cooperation. At present, this product has been put into production at Chengdu Jiaoda Jingyu Technology Co., Ltd. and has applied for national invention patents.
