According to reports, the Japanese fiber producer Dupont-Tolei recently developed a technology that can be used to form aramid fibers in a spiral shape, and spiral aramid fibers are suitable for the production of protective clothing.
This technology is mainly to convert aramid fibers into spirals through heating and high pressure steam processing. The company is co-developing this new fiber with Tongyi University and Donghai Dyeing Company.
The technology has already applied for a patent and Ichimura Industries will be responsible for putting the spiral aramid fiber into commercial production.
