Two years ago, in the process of producing BOPP film, even domestic manufacturers used imported raw materials, they would break once a day or even reach 8 times, and they would lose 7,000 to 30,000 yuan per break. , And the quality of the product is very unstable, so most domestic manufacturers rely on imports. The subproject of the "973" project "Basic Research Project for High-Performance General-Purpose Polymer Materials," which has just concluded, achieved a breakthrough in the research of basic scientific issues in the production of BOPP special materials, and produced actual production benefits, and thus obtained 2004. Annual National Science and Technology Progress Award.
The five-year project was led by Prof. Yang Yuliang, Vice President of Fudan University, and Professor Qiao Jinliang, Vice President of the Sinopec Beijing Chemical Research Institute. The chief scientist chose BOPP as a breakthrough point in the tensile process during the stretching process. After the conclusions of the research, Professor Yang Yuliang and other experts guided Jinshan Petrochemical to improve the technology several times and finally solved the problem of membrane rupture. According to statistics, since the domestic-made BOPP special price is less than 200 yuan per ton for imported products, if the replacement of imported products is calculated at 500,000 tons per year, it will increase profits for the BOPP manufacturers by more than 100 million yuan each year. In fact, the annual market for BOPP special materials reached 1.3 million tons.
Professor Yang Yuliang said that the close cooperation between the academic community and the industry is the key to the success of this project.
