Zip-Pak's new ZIP-PAK(@) RETORT(TM) steamable zipper was first used in Japan for re-sealable bags. A raised edge is attached to the underside of this new type of polypropylene zipper. This ensures that the liquid does not come into contact with the contents of the bag when it meets the zipper and accumulates, while being resistant to cooking or autoclaving. The Zip-Pak RETORT series can withstand cooking temperatures of up to 30 minutes and temperatures up to 125 degrees Celsius. The rim beneath the zipper can be cooked again or the contents of the tissue bag penetrate the sealing position during handling. Since such a convex edge can effectively separate the bag mouth from the material in the bag, the cleaning of the zipper portion can be ensured and the appearance of the package is also more attractive.
