Doing a good test of the suitability of commodity bar code printing
The printability test is a test to verify the adaptability between printing conditions such as printing equipment, carrier, printing process, ink, etc. to determine the design data of barcode film. Printing companies are conducting suitability tests to determine the bar width adjustment (BWC) and minimum magnification factor required to make barcode films under certain printing conditions.
The steps of the printing adaptation test are:
1) After the printing enterprise obtains the bar code symbol grade printing suitability rule from the branch of the China Article Coding Center, it is placed at the corners of the print film to make a plate and print together to ensure the printing equipment and printing carrier used in the bar code printing suitability test , Printing process and ink and other printing conditions are exactly the same as the formal printing bar code symbols and printing conditions.
2) The printing enterprise will take 9 samples from the printed matter of the bar code symbol level printing suitability ruler, and send it to the branch office of the China Article Coding Center for testing. The minimum allowable amplification factor (Mmin).
3) The branch office of the China Article Coding Center provides barcode films for verification according to the determined bar width adjustment (BWC) and minimum magnification factor (Mmin). The printing company uses this film to print under the same conditions as the suitability test, and then samples Send the inspection, if the inspection is qualified, you can determine the bar width adjustment amount (BWC) and the minimum amplification factor (Mmin) under the printing conditions. If it fails, continue to test and adjust until the printing is qualified.
According to the design data of the barcode film determined by the printability test, the original film is customized, and the film content such as the code system, the amplification factor, the reduction of the strip width, the positive and negative films, etc. are consistent with the requirements. The data determines the printing direction of the product barcode, such as vertical printing, parallel printing, etc.
Choose a reasonable color combination
Commodity barcodes are read by special reading equipment according to the width and contrast of the bar space, so the greater the color contrast between the bar and the space, the better, that is, the space color should be lighter and the bar color darker. Never use red as the bar color. Do not use gold (such as gold cardboard, silver cardboard) as the empty color.
Choose a printing location that meets the standard
The principle of determining the printing position of commodity barcodes is that the printed barcode symbols are not covered, deformed, and easy to read. Therefore, GB / 14257 "General commodity barcode symbol position" should be strictly implemented to select the correct and reasonable printing position.
The appropriate barcode symbol size should be selected according to GB12904 "Commodity Barcode". In principle, the bar code symbol should not be cut high, and the size of the left and right blank areas must be left according to the requirements of national standards, otherwise it will affect the correct reading of the bar code symbol.
