Krauss-Maffei launches RTP pipe extrusion equipment

　　 Krauss-Maffei recently introduced its latest equipment in reinforced thermoplastic (RTP) pipe extrusion technology. In May this year, the company held an extrusion technology forum in Munich, Germany, and introduced its latest RTP pipe extrusion equipment. Plastic extrusion processing companies from Russia, Poland, Thailand, Malaysia, China and the Arab region as well as visitors from other countries in the world attended the event.

The former produces reinforced strips Aramide, polyester, and glass fiber; the strip was wound diagonally around the PE inner tube immediately after it was extruded; the PE protective outer wall was finally formed. RTP pipes are lightweight and resistant to high pressure (pressures up to 100 bar); they are most commonly used in oil production for crude oil and natural gas transmission applications. Compared with the traditional steel pipe, RTP pipe has better corrosion resistance and is easy to transport and lay; other applications include high pressure water pipes and natural gas pipelines.
