There are three methods of joining corrugated boxes: stapled joints, adhesive tape adhesive joints and adhesive adhesive joints. Among these three bonding methods, the bonding strength of the adhesive bonding is the highest, the bonding strength of the adhesive tape is the next, and the bonding strength of the nail is the lowest. The three joining methods are quite different, and should be selected reasonably according to the characteristics of the contents, the type of corrugated board, and the production volume.
1. Pinned legally
Stapling is a kind of box jointing method that is currently used in China and is nailed along the midline of the overlapping part with a metal nail.
The bonding strength is the lowest among the three bonding methods. This is because after the box is nailed, the joint portion is severely damaged. During the compression of the carton, each nail hole is subjected to compressive stress, which severely weakens the bonding strength of the carton.
2. Adhesive tape bonding
Adhesive tape bonding method is to use an adhesive tape with a width of not less than 60mm. On the outside of the carton, the joint line of the interface portion of the carton is used as a center line for bonding.
The bonding strength of the adhesive tape bonding method is not affected by the strength of the corrugated cardboard, and there is no damage to the junction of the carton. Moreover, the adhesive tape joining method does not need to overlap the tongue structure, and the appearance of the adhesive and stapled jointed carton is neat, and the cardboard material is saved, the internal dimensions of the carton are easily ensured, and the commodity loading is facilitated.
3. Adhesive bonding
The adhesive bonding method uses an adhesive to adhere the overlapping part of the carton casing. The adhesive used is polyvinyl acetate emulsion. The adhesive bonding method requires the adhesive to have good initial viscosity and a certain degree of change in temperature and humidity. Carton bonding has high productivity, low cost, and bonding strength is not affected by the strength of the corrugated board.
